Happy New Year!
I've been thinking about my wins and challenges of 2024, and what I want to create in 2025. I have some highlights to share with you, and some fun announcements. From a business perspective, 2024 was a very full year!
- I participated in 14 art festivals this year, more than half were out of Arizona. It was a lot for me! I'll be scaling a little back in 2025 by participating in fewer out of state shows. So much travel in 2024 really wore me out, and I want to honor the limits of my body! Please check my Events page for upcoming art festivals.
- I won Best of Jewelry at the Tempe Festival of the Arts!
- Top 4 most popular pieces of 2024 were: Slender Cactus Cuff Bracelet, Organic Wide Band Cactus Ring, Slender Band Cactus Ring, Desert Sunrise Cactus Hoop Earrings.
- I met my 2024 goal of being more consistent with emails. I'll continue emailing about once a week in 2025. I really enjoy creating these emails, and so often truly feel like I'm writing a letter just to you. I love hearing from those of you that read them and reply! It helps me feel connected, rather just sending words into space. (FYI I email more often during sales according to a plan set out by my marketing group - I know all of the sale emails are pesky but they are successful for me.)

On a personal note, I married my long-time partner Tom this year! We were married at San Francisco City Hall, and had an amazing wedding weekend with family and friends in the city. It was so great!

And now, some exciting announcements:
- Lila Clare Jewelry turns 15 in 2025! Just writing this blows me away. It's been an honor to create jewelry for you, and I love that my pieces play a part in celebrating meaning and beauty in your life.
- The 2025 Limited Edition Heart Necklace is available for pre-order. I hope to start shipping mid-January. I'll only have a limited quantity, and I sold out pretty quickly this year so I recommend ordering now!
- I've made the difficult decision to discontinue all gold vermeil pieces (gold vermeil is gold plated over silver). The price of gold is staying very high, and my cost to have the silver pieces plated in gold has increased 262% (yes I meant to type 262!). I would have to raise my prices to the point that the gold vermeil pieces would no longer be a good value. I've put my remaining gold vermeil pieces on sale here, along with a couple other pieces I'm discontinuing.
- Finally, I want to share an update about pricing. Over the past year, my material and supplier costs have risen significantly. I've held my prices in place with hopes that things would ease, but I can no longer absorb the increases while continuing to provide the high-quality, creative pieces you love. To ensure I can keep bringing you designs crafted with care, I’ll be adjusting the prices on several pieces in the Desert Botanic Collection starting mid-January (for example, the cuff bracelet will increase from $225 to $245). If there’s a piece you’ve had your eye on, now is the perfect time to purchase it at the current price. Thank you for your understanding and continued support—it means the world to me!
