Slender Band Cactus Ring with Gemstone
Jewelry made from the desert
Each cactus piece is handmade using a lost wax casting process.
- I choose section of dried prickly pear cactus fiber (yep, the dried cellulose from inside the cactus).
- I make a mold of that piece of cactus fiber, then pour silver or gold into the mold.
- The result is a solid metal copy of the cactus fiber, which I then made into a unique piece of jewelry.

artisan made
Hi, I'm Clare, owner and maker of Lila Clare Jewelry. I make each piece of jewelry from the actual dried fibrous skeleton of the prickly pear cactus, resulting in artisan jewelry made in and from the southwestern desert. I have been making these unique jewelry pieces from the cactus skeleton since 2010.

My new ring is a daily wear. Its dainty profile is easy to work in. The metal glimmers and is amazingly strong, holding its shape regardless pressure applied.
Janelle, thank you for your review! I'm glad you're enjoying your ring, and appreciate your comments on it's strength! It's true, they are very durable!
This ring is so simple, yet so elegant. I get compliments every time I wear it. Clare is such an amazing artist and it shows in every piece she creates.
Thank you for this amazing review Megan! :)
