Gold Cactus Solitaire Ring

$ 1,995.00
GemstoneMoissanite

Jewelry handmade from prickly pear cactus fiber. Each piece is made using a solid metal copy of dried cactus fiber.

Inspired by the desert, this gold solitaire ring is a desert-inspired take on a timeless design. The band is made from the intricate skeleton of a prickly pear cactus, echoing the plant’s delicate structure in solid 14k gold. Capturing the beauty of the desert, this handmade ring is botanical and organic, yet distinctive and modern.

A brilliant moissanite gemstone sits at the center, adding radiance that complements the ring’s natural form.

Wear it as a statement of your connection to the natural world, or as a non-traditional engagement ring that reflects a love as enduring as the desert itself.

In stock rings are 14k gold with white moissanite gemstone. Please contact me for a custom gemstone (like diamond or colored gemstones) or other metal options (like white gold or 18k yellow gold).

Arrives in a Lila Clare jewelry box.

Gold Cactus Solitaire Ring

Jewelry made from the desert

Each cactus piece is handmade using a lost wax casting process.

  1. I choose section of dried prickly pear cactus fiber (yep, the dried cellulose from inside the cactus).
  2. I make a mold of that piece of cactus fiber, then pour silver or gold into the mold.
  3. The result is a solid metal copy of the cactus fiber, which I then made into a unique piece of jewelry.

artisan made

Hi, I'm Clare, owner and maker of Lila Clare Jewelry. I make each piece of jewelry from the actual dried fibrous skeleton of the prickly pear cactus, resulting in artisan jewelry made in and from the southwestern desert. I have been making these unique jewelry pieces from the cactus skeleton since 2010.
