Summer’s in full swing with a heat index that makes me hot just thinking about! I don’t know about you, but I’ve been experimenting with different ways to punch up my look without having to add layers of actual clothing. With a temperature of 108˚ here in Tucson today, I think you can appreciate why. So, I’ve come back to a staple style that I absolutely love - long and layered jewelry!
I love the statement a long necklace can make. There’s a casual ease about it; a simultaneous effortlessness and aesthetic declaration. Sometimes I find it best to keep it simple with only one long piece. Other times, I’ll pair a shorter necklace with a longer one(or two!) to create a layered look.
The styles you’ll find in the Lila Clare collections are all soft and simple - some featuring two-tone metals, others boasting petite, faceted gemstones in natural hues - and all intended for easy, everyday wear. While most all of the necklaces in the Luna, Joy, and Botanic collections come on 16” sterling silver chain with 2” extenders, there are a number of lengthier styles(available on 24” with 2” extenders) that achieve the elongated look I love. And to me, adding a complementary ring, earring, or bracelet always enhances the overall appearance.
So, whether you’re running errands during the day or getting fancied up for a night out, these looks are stylish, sophisticated, and perfectly lightweight, layered alternatives to their clothing counterparts!
